Francesca ReDavid: [Co-President and Co-Founder] When Francesca was 16 years old, she went on a humanitarian mission to Brazil. In the midst of all the poverty and dirt that surrounded the slum, she met a little girl in an orphanage named Gardenia. One day after a victorious run as partners in a 3 legged race, Gardenia gave Francesca a big hug and handed her a bracelet. Francesca was struck by the generosity and love that emanated from the little girl – and how someone can be so generous despite being surrounded by poverty. On that day, she vowed to pay it forward.
Today, Francesca is co-founder of Girl Meets World and a passionate advocate of women’s leadership and development. She works for the marketing division InteractiveCorp, where she founded the organization’s first women’s initiative group, with the goal of increasing the percentage of women leaders within the management ranks. In addition to her work with IAC, she is a marketing consultant for various small businesses in the NYC area.
In her spare time Francesca enjoys traveling and music. She’s lived in Italy for several years as a child, and moved to her favorite city, Paris at the ripe age of 17. She is also a classically trained violist who has played both Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall with the City Wide Orchestra in her youth.
She is a graduate of New York University and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Marketing and Strategic Communications at Columbia University. To contact Francesca directly, please email
